Caroline Rufo creates paintings, installations and performances. Her work is rooted in visual and intellectual observation. She explores the natural world, ideas, and systems that create her surroundings and influence her perception. Her creative practice involves discovering hidden patterns, exploring visual metaphor and pursuing excellence and beauty.
Caroline’s artwork “Hub and Tide” is a permanent installation that wraps a one story building in Boston’s Seaport. She is the recipient of the SOLO Competition at Bromfield Gallery, and is a Copley Artist at the Copley Society of Art.
Caroline is a lifelong New Englander. She lives in a suburb of Boston with her husband and teaches art at a small private high school. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art.
